"Consider this: Amateurs built the ark. Professionals built the Titanic."
Hmmm. I guess it all boils down to who thunk it up in the first place, huh.
Another way to look at: As Tshsmom, her husband L., Tom, and I know, we amateur builders rock! (Though Tom and I haven't mastered cubits, yet.)

Hee hee. I snickered too. I love most humor that begins with "consider this:"
L and I saw that sticker last year. I told him that we need to make a plaque for the garage with that saying on it.
I'd be willing to bet that one of you, at some point, has used their arm to estimate a measurement. I have. Does this make me cubit-friendly?
M.E., yeah, me, too!
Tshs: Good idea, making a plaque! You could sell those, with your dog poo ornaments.
Yes, I must confess I have used my arm now and then. I guess I'm more cubit-worthy than I realize. ;)
I KNEW you were cubit-worthy! ;)
My Dad has the uncanny ability to pace off large areas. He's always less than a foot off.
After dealing with professionals in the "grief industry," I can fully concur with that bumper sticker. The incompetence is staggering.
Cherie, I love your Christmas photos in the sidebar. I'd sure love to hug that Christmas Beagle!
Oh, isn't it just the worst, Ann. "Grief industry." Sheesh, I shudder at the terminology alone, let alone the performance of it. Been there with the passing of some of our family members and it as a test, a true test of patience. I hope all it going well for you now in that regard.
Sam, the Christmas Beagle returns all hugs with a vigorous tale-wag, smiling eyes, head-snuggles, and a good lick on the face if he can get it! Merry Christmas from him, too!
