First of June

Outstretched summer arms welcome, caress.

"Come into refreshment!" she softly breathes.

Thirty days of June to savor. Shed the heaviness of dark months, freedom.

Lighter clothes, lighter foods, lighter hearts.

Promise of sowing and reaping in soils physical and spiritual.

"You've come to me again, sweet June. God's grace permits delight. Lingering, I shall enjoy.....you."

"
Namaste."

I don't know what happened to May, and now it's June already!
I love your statue! This spring, I broke the hand off the St Francis statue we have for the yard. :(

I know what happened to your May - the Boss's whip a'crackin! ;-)

Not surprised you have a St. Francis, too. We like our little guy. So sorry your Francis's hand is gone. These things happen to yard ornaments.

After making this post I declared today a holiday! The girls and I tried out a new restaurant, saw a movie, ran a few errands, and brought ice cream home for the guys. A most pleasant beginning to my favorite month. Hope your day was pleasant as well, tshs!

That sounds like a fun way to begin June. I'll have to try that next year.

Oh good, Patti! Today really has been a pleasant holiday for us. We are all smiling.

Refreshing, relaxing post from the pictures to your calming words.

I needed this today. Thanks, Cherie

Namaste.

Annie - that was my goal, to make a refreshing post for me to return to when it gets crazy around here, and to remember a very peaceful, pleasant day. So glad it helped you, too.

Ashley - you're a gem!

I am not jealous. I am not jealous. I am not jealous.

But boy it's cold here!

How cold is cold? I saw your frosty photo. What temps?

Bundle up, and visualize St. Francis in the herb garden - "You are warmmmm....you are warmmmm."

Thanks, Cec!

LOL, Z and I do that when things get crazy too. It helps us reconnect to what's important in life. ;)

St Francis is my hero! He was the master at simplifying life. Have you ever seen Brother Sun, Sister Moon?

To my shame, no, I haven't. I shall ACT on it, now. Simplifying life. Yes. Yes. Yes.

Worshipped in Dunblane Cathedral this morning. The minister said that, because its June, its officially Scottish summer time - how can you tell? - the rain is warmer.

Oh lovely lovely warmer rain, Liz. I'd love to experience a Scottish summer. We had the most delicate, aromatic, delicious rain today to wet things and cool us off. Perhaps you sent a little Scotland my way. Thanks!
