Who gave me happiness in my childhood,
Who taught me that ingredients matter,
Who loved yellow and red as much as I do,
Who ate M&M's and drank Cowboy Coffee,
Who's heart and life have been a lesson to me
All my life...
Farewell.
Reunion on the other side will be sweet.
"But since it falls unto my lot,
That I should rise and you should not,
I gently rise and softly call,
Good night and joy be with you all."
~~Traditional

To live with intention, to me, simply means live so that, come what may, you can honestly and proudly say to yourself: No regrets!
To live by design, not default, to the best of your ability.
I'm sorry for your loss, but am happy that you have such great memories.
What is cowboy coffee?
Thanks, Patti.
Cowboy coffee is strong, Strong, STRONG coffee. Throw a big handful of coffee grounds into a speckled coffee pot, fill with water, crunch on the lid, stick it over a rowdy campfire till it boils - Cowboy Coffee.
so sorry that you had to lose your Aunt but joyful that she gave you such love and memories. Love the sentiment of intention.
Thanks, Cherie, for sharing such a poignant post. I'm glad you knew her and will again.
Summer and Deanna, thank you.
I'm so sorry for your loss!!
We're in S MN right now for my cousin's husband's funeral. He died right after my last post. I didn't want to have a funeral in common with you!
God bless us all in this time of trial!!!
(((HUGS)))
Not a pleasant thing to share, Tshs. I'm so sorry for your loss. You are really getting hammered with loss and I feel for you.
Be safe in S. MN - give our regards to L and Z, won't you?
And yes, God bless us all in this time of trial.
(((HUGS))) to you, too.
Tshs: Have you reached 'three', yet? I'm still on 'one' and waiting for shoes to drop...
Daunting.
A wonderful tribute to our dear aunt, Cherie. The memories have been flooding my heart this week. What joy to know that she is well again, and residing with the Savior! I love you, Sister.
I already reached 3. Bob's death is starting over at 1 again. I'm waiting for the shoe to drop twice more...again! :(
We survived the funeral with loads of laughs and tears. We have many, many beautiful memories and pictures. Bob will always be a part of us, just like your aunt will always be part of who you are. ;)
HLITTOMS: Yes, it's a relief that she is aright again after all the Alzheimer's years. I love you, too.
Tshs: I was afraid you'd gone into another round of threes. Two more shoes - we wait. Ugh.
Glad to hear that you survived the funeral with laughs and tears. That's the way the good ones go. Thanks for the sentiments. The best people never die - they remain in hearts, continue to inspire and comfort, impart wisdom, and give smiles. Hope you get some rest now.
You have such a wonderful way of reflecting.
Sorry about the loss of your aunt.
Love, Gretchen
Oh Cherie, what a beautiful tribute to your aunt. I'm sorry for your loss, it's always sad to say goodbye.
Prayers to you and your family.
So Sorry To Hear Your Loss.Regards.Tony.X
Sorry about your loss. At my age it starts to get all too frequent saying good-bye, but the deeds & memories are still mine to enjoy. Hoping your memories are always a comfort as well.
Thanks for the kindnesses all of you.
She is buried in the ground, no no, her body is buried. Her soul soars.
I hope.
And life marches on...
Sounds like this relationship was rich with meaning... nice. Thinking of you in the missing.
Thanks, Cecily.
What wonderful memories and love you have in your heart because of her. A rich inheritance, so rich.
