Giddy

Honey-scented blossom breezes. Sprouting vegetational variety. Trekking across our spongy lawn I am hopeful, curious. Surprises greet me as I visit my once asleep friends. "Who made it through winter?" They all did! Bursting buds between tired leaves, color bedecked shrubs, or up from the soil bulb leaves poke - hello! - and I'm there. Hello!

Discarding winter's inwardness my spirit delights to climb up, stretch toward the sun, the eternal sky, the warmth, just as do nature's spring beauties. Outwardness. A clean slate. Forgiveness and forgetting. Like a new bud, or a burst of heather I am renewed. Alive. Pulsing with thawed energy.

Sighing invigoration.

...And we still have six feet of snow here...

Well, we will get crocuses and daffs eventually...

Eventually.

I thought a post like this might give hope to those of you still buried in snow, W.C.....not that there's anything wrong with snow, mind you. It's lovely.

A time for everything. Eventually.

Very nice!
We wont see any sign of spring here in Finland till the end of April/May. The snow is usually still thick on the ground till mid April. They dont call it the "frozen north" for nothing.

Yup, our ice fishing season ends March 31st as that's when it's deemed to be usually no longer safe to drive onto the lakes. Deep woods snow until June-July. But it makes us appreciate spring that much more:)

Bluebells, Tony! Some of my favorites. Gorgeous tiny swaying smiles.

It takes awhile to thaw the frozen north, eh Sean. End of April or May. You'll be happy to see the flowers again I imagine. Hearty people live where you live.

Mike, yes, makes one appreciate spring. Ice fishing. I've always thought that would be awesome!! Maybe someday.

Yea! You have given me hope. I can't wait, it shouldn't be too much longer. Thanks Cherie.

I hope you do, too, Deanna.

El-Em-Es: It won't be long...where ever you are. I think. ;)

Sandy, Good! And you're welcome. I know you are eager to get your hands in the soil. :D

What a beautiful post, especially the part about forgiveness and forgetting. Waco, by the way, has a few snowflakes on the ground this morning!

I'll bet it's beautiful!
