Retreat

Long weekend hide-away.

With two of my favorite people.

Transitioning into a new schedule.

Feels good.

I can smell the air, feel the saltwater on my feet, hear the gulls singing...take me away!!!

Looks like you gals had a great time...good for you.

Sure must have been fun.. happy girls, happy seagull, happy feet! Thanks for the neat pictures, and may your schoolyear begin well.

Glorious it was! And may your school year be the same.

This just made me smile. I used to vacation on the oregon coast growing up and seeing your girls' smiling faces made my heart skip a beat at the thought that one day my girls will be toying with becoming women and hopefully retreating with me:) Such a lovely post.

Thanks, Summer. You know, when I was your age I had the same thoughts you express here about my girls and I one day having retreats to the beach as my mom and sister and I did when we were my girls' ages now. It only shows that there is beauty and joy in living on earth for awhile, that it doesn't all fade away with the bloom of youth, but opens up, fills out, fills up, and caresses in all its stages.

Thanks for sharing, Summer. Brought good thoughts to mind.
