My goal is to reach fluency in at least Italian or French before I die. Preferably both. I am a long long way from my goal.
Indeed, the journey is most enjoyable. I am in no hurry. My pleasure spurs me on.
Just now I have completed the Rosetta Stone French Course, Level One. Tingly with excitement, as though I've won a gold medal.
Achievement.
My Completion certificate for French, Level One joins my Italian, Level One certificate earned this spring.
On to French, Level Two.The training begins!
Enthusiasm!!
Congratulations! That is quite an achievement. I am trying to learn Japanese, German, and Italian as well. I have the Rosetta Stone DVDs but I have my excuses (no time/lazy/distractions) so I have not really finished them yet (not counting my courses in Japanese at school).
ReplyDeletePerhaps I should just travel to those countries. That, I feel is the best way to learn.
Congrats indeed! I am English and my Fiancee is Romanian. So I can also fully understand how hard it is to learn a new language, as I am finding it a challenge but a FUN challenge!
ReplyDeleteGood Luck!
That's excellent, Cherie. I thought that after living in Canada for 10 years I would pick up a little French, but so far I know only a handful of courtesy phrases and "Don't step on the wildflowers." Much more effort is required on my part, I think.
