Tis the Season

Sunrise enhanced by smoke.

Weeks of dry dry dry weather has left our area a tinder box. Oregon fires rage here and there, filling our skies with smoke that serves as a constant reminder to pray for the forests, the creatures, the people, and their homes.

Ahhhh! I've missed your insights, word pictures, and real photos the past several weeks. Nice to return to a bright spot, even if the message is about fires. We're on 'high' right now too, even though we've had far more wet days than dry for the season just behind us.

Hello, Dear One! I LOVE your blog's new look!!! And your profile pic is adorable, you and your girls!

My folks have talked about those fires of late, the beautiful sunsets, and the heavy air. Makes my lungs hurt just thinking about it...

Always a treat to visit your blog... Joe and I have been toying with the idea of a road trip out west this winter -- would love to see you. But alas, he is back in the job market again, so we shall see...

Mike, more wet days than dry, huh. Quite the opposite of us. How I long for a long cool rain to tamp down the dust and freshen the trees. Soon. Soon. Thanks.

Pam! What, Joe's back in the job market? A trip out west? Please email me. I'm dyin' here!

Living in a tinder box is nerve wracking! We were in that position for 3 yrs. This summer has been a refreshing change! I pray for cool, fall rain for you all.

I'm glad you are safe, Tshs. Thankfully our rain has taken care of our fires and the skies are clear and blue and well, rain-cloudy, too.
