In Japanese that's a haiku:

Yado no haru
Nani mo nake koso
Nani mo are

It was one of the first things I ever learned in Japanese. And perhaps it's appropriate here.

The substance of comfortable silences and empty spaces should never be underrated, but over appreciated. Such moments can lead to intimate congress with the truth.

This comment was brought to you by the letter J and the Yen currency.

Kudos to you, my friend, kudos.

Beautiful!

I am familiar with:

The empty shack in spring
Even though there is nothing
There is something

Thanks for returning it to mind. Yes, comfortable silences and empty spaces should never be underrated.

Thanks for sharing understanding of such things.

Your sentiment and peaceful picture were the perfect fix for me. Going into the holidays always make me so tense!!! I'm going to keep returning to this entry to meditate on the energy that is in quiet and emptiness. That picture is peaceful. What is it and where was it taken? It looks like water.

You are right, Ashley, that the photo is of water. I was on a ferry that traverses back and forth on Jenny Lake in the Grand Tetons of Wyoming. I stood up as we waited for new passengers to join us and glanced down to see the crystal clear water and sandy lake floor, the beauty of which prompted me to snap this photo. The black spots are the rocks lying on the bottom of the lake.

I'm glad you like it. I find it very peaceful, too. It sure brings back wonderful memories of that day when we floated on the lake as well as walked in the Teton forests. Lovely.

Have peaceful and serene holidays, Ash, - it can be done! I did it last year. Going for it again this year. Love you!

Another example of our sisterhood, our telepathy, our reading of each other's thought, eh, Pammi-o! We are mystical ovines!
